Performing as a solo acoustic jazz guitarist has become a particular specialty
of mine. The collection of tunes known as “The American Songbook“
comprises a very large portion of my repertoire. These are the great  
standards by composers such as Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole
Porter, Ann Ronnell and a host of others. Many selections from “The
Songbook” were originally composed for Broadway shows or for movie
soundtracks. Over time, this music has become part of the fabric of our
culture and is the traditional core repertoire for jazz musicians. Widely known
and loved across generational lines, instrumental arrangements of these
tunes makes great live jazz music for receptions, corporate functions or any
special event. The list of jazz and popular standards below is not nearly
complete, but should give you a good idea of what to expect.


Many people prefer to have classical guitar music for receptions and other
special occasions. The classical guitar repertoire includes works from over
five centuries. A great deal of Renaissance and Baroque music, originally
composed for the lute and harpsichord, has been successfully transcribed for
classical guitar. During the Classical and Romantic periods the guitar began
to develop in it’s own rite and much original music was composed for the
instrument. As the guitar gained favor during the 20th Century many
Contemporary composers created some very beautiful works for classical
guitar. Below is a partial list of my classical repertoire.
